My eyes are swollen right now and it's not because of the onions I'm eating for dinner.
I've seen quite a number of sentimental and heartwarming comedies these few days, three, in fact - Why Why love, The girl who leapt through time as well as Coffee Prince.
Why Why love has been one of the first Taiwanese shows that can actually make me cry like how I did when Mrs. Chitra left. I'm not going to do any excessive narration though, because when I finally finish describing Mike He's mega hot face and the different sentimental expressions it went through, it'd already be midnight. But in that scene whereby Huo Yan was persuading Huo Da to accept the liver transplant, with himself as the liver donor, it was so touching. I cried until my nose was swelling like it got stung by a hornet. And Yanshu's not so bad after all, even though her hair... hem hem. hahaha. sigh. i hope maybe yanshu and huo yan get together in the end, even though they said their last goodbyes. Not everyone is as fortunate as Huo Da.
Unlike most of the anime endings I've seen, The Girl who leapt through Time had a really good ending, even though it was rather cliche, in a way. Her losing her ability to time leap, and the fact that Chiaki-kun, the best friend-kind, had a secret crush on her and she rejected him and that later on realized that she actually had feelings for him but he had to leave because he was not "
normal" (in this case, he was from the future), yeah, that was really typical of a Japanese anime. But still, one can never get tired of it. And of course, the fact that Aunt Witch was actually the older version of Makoto is really .... amazing. That's it. Amazing. This movie is amazing. And they had well chosen soundtracks - Garnet, the ending theme was a really sentimental song and it really fitted the movie.
And I think Chiaki-kun was so cute! If he was real, he is SO MY TYPE! hahaha. kidding.
And last but not least, Coffee Prince. I think it's such a cute show. EUN CHAN AND HAN KYUL BELONG TOGETHER FOREVER! I don't think I can find any flaws with the show, well, except for maybe the age gap as well as the face of the ajusshi. But other than that, it's PERFECT. Especially the soundtrack.
